I-695 Southeast Preservation – Program Overview
As part of MDTA's preservation program to enhance safety and reliability along the I-695 corridor in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, the MDTA is initiating multiple projects for rehabilitating critical infrastructure, including bridges, roadways, and support facilities, to ensure long-term functionality and resilience.
- To address and prevent settlement and deterioration
- To support the MDTA Police Marine Unit operations
- To improves substructure
- To improve drainage
- To protect eroding shoreline construction
The I-695 Southeast Preservation program is comprised of multiple projects aimed at continuing the Maryland Transportation Authority’s (MDTA's) efforts to enhance the safety, functionality, and longevity of key transportation infrastructure in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, MD. The program will facilitate MDTA's ongoing reconstruction effort and response to future emergencies and maintenance needs. Additionally, the proposed improvements will address and prevent further settlement and deterioration to infrastructure, provide necessary protection to prevent shoreline erosion, support the MDTA Police Marine Unit, and ensure the safety and maintenance of bridges in the Curtis Creek area.
