WORK TO RESULT IN WEEKEND CLOSURES OF
I-95 KEITH AVENUE RAMPS IN AUGUST
WHAT: The ramps from Keith Avenue to I-95 will be closed temporarily to traffic. The westbound detour will direct motorists to Keith Avenue, to Clinton Street, to Boston Street, to Interstate Avenue, to I-95. The eastbound detour will direct motorists to New Vail Street, to Newkirk Street, to Boston Street, to Interstate Avenue, to I-95.
The ramp from northbound I-95 to Keith Avenue (Exit 56) will be closed temporarily to traffic. The detour will direct motorists to Boston/O’Donnell Street (Exit 57), to Interstate Avenue, to southbound I-95, to Keith Avenue (Exit 56).
WHEN: Weather permitting, the ramps from Keith Avenue to I-95 will be closed Friday, July 31, at 8 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2. Weather permitting, the ramp from northbound I-95 to Keith Avenue will be closed Friday, Aug. 7, at 8 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9. Work also may be performed Friday, Aug. 14, through Sunday Aug. 16.
WHY: Toll Dollars at Work: The closures are part of the Maryland Transportation Authority’s (MDTA) three-year, $189 million project to replace the 60-year-old I-895 Bridge and the Holabird Avenue exit ramp north of the Harbor Tunnel and rehabilitate the Harbor Tunnel.
