WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF I-95 RAMPS IN BALTIMORE CITY
HAZMAT Vehicles Must Use Exit 57 Before the Fort McHenry Tunnel
WHAT: The ramp from southbound I-95 to Keith Avenue (Exit 56) will be closed overnight. The detour will direct motorists to O’Donnell Street (Exit 57), to Interstate Avenue, to Boston Street, to Clinton Street, to Keith Avenue.
Note: The last exit for HAZMAT vehicles before the Fort McHenry Tunnel will be Exit 57 (O’Donnell Street).
The ramp from southbound I-95 to Caton Avenue (Exit 50) will be closed overnight. The detour will direct motorists to westbound I-695, to Wilkens Avenue, to Caton Avenue.
WHEN: Weather permitting, the southbound I-95 to Keith Avenue ramp closure will occur Monday, April 17, through Thursday April 20, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
Weather permitting, the southbound I-95 to Caton Avenue ramp closure will occur Monday, April 24, through Thursday, April 27, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
WHY: Your Toll Dollars At Work. Crews will close the ramps to pour foundations as part of the Maryland Transportation Authority’s (MDTA) $13.7 million project to remove and replace weathering steel high-mast light poles along I-95 in Baltimore.
