BALTIMORE, MD – The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is implementing its next generation electronic tolling system, and is performing upgrades that include replacing existing tolling hardware and software at all toll facilities. Work along the Intercounty Connector (ICC/MD 200) in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties bega n in January and will be complete in April. The tentative schedule is shown Below.

Temporary detours are needed due to the amount of equipment and crews involved and to help ensure the safety of workers and motorists. Those traveling between I-370 and I-95/US 1 may consider taking I-495 during periods when the detours are in effect. MDTA thanks customers for their patience and reminds them to Stay Alert So No One Gets Hurt!
