INTERCOUNTY CONNECTOR TOLLING SYSTEM
UPGRADES CONTINUE INTO APRIL
Detours for Gantry Work Resume This Weekend Between Layhill Road & Georgia Avenue
BALTIMORE, MD – The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is implementing its next generation electronic tolling systems, and those upgrades include replacing existing tolling hardware and software at all toll facilities. Work began at the Intercounty Connector (ICC/MD 200) in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in January and will continue into April. The tentative schedule is shown above.
The temporary detours are needed due to the amount of equipment and crews involved and to help ensure the safety of workers and motorists. Those traveling between I-370 and I-95/US 1 may consider taking I-495 when detours are in effect. MDTA thanks customers for their patience and reminds them to Stay Alert So No One Gets Hurt!

Beginning 9 p.m. Friday, February 28, and continuing until 5 a.m. Monday, March 2, westbound ICC/MD 200 traffic will be detoured at I-95.
