Facility: (I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel
During tunnel closures at the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, drivers may experience 15-20 minute delays while two-way operations (during which one lane of southbound and northbound traffic is directed into the tunnel that remains open) are implemented. Closure times are dependent on traffic volumes.
(I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel Overnight Lane Closures for the Week of January 26, 2020
The Northbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 10:00 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, Jan. 26, and at 8:30 p.m. on the evenings of Monday, Jan. 27, through Wednesday, Jan. 29, for contractor operations. Two-way operations will be in the southbound tunnel. Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:30 a.m. the following morning.
In addition, the Northbound Tunnel will continuously close through the weekend starting at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, through 4:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 3. Two-way operations will be in the southbound tunnel. Expect delays. Use I-695/Key Bridge or I-95/Fort McHenry Tunnel as alternate routes.
