DURING SEPTEMBER

WHAT: The ramp from southbound I-95 to northbound I-395 (Exit 53) will be closed temporarily to traffic.

The detour route will direct motorists to Caton Avenue (Exit 50), to northbound I-95, to northbound I-395 (Exit 53).

WHEN: Weather permitting, the ramp from southbound I-95 to Exit 53 will be closed Friday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning. The ramp will also be closed Tuesday, Sept. 22, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning. In the event of inclement weather or other variables, work also may be performed Monday, Sept. 28.

WHY: Toll Dollars At Work: The ramp closures are part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) two-year, $64 million project to remove and replace the existing concrete deck (riding) surface and roadway joints on mainline I-95 and ramps in Baltimore City.
