TOLLING SYSTEM UPGRADES TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF RAMP FROM CHILDS STREET TO SOUTHBOUND I-895 IN BALTIMORE

TOLLING SYSTEM UPGRADES TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF RAMP FROM CHILDS STREET TO SOUTHBOUND I-895 IN BALTIMORE

 

 

WHAT:    The entrance ramp from Childs Street to southbound I-895 will be closed temporarily to traffic.  The detour will direct motorists to Frankfurst Avenue, to Hanover Street, to southbound I-95. 

 

WHEN:   Weather permitting, Monday, March 9, and Tuesday, March 10, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

                               

WHY:   As part of the Maryland Transportation Authority’s (MDTA) next generation electronic toll collection system, the MDTA continues to replace existing toll-lane hardware and software at all toll facilities.
