INNER LOOP I-695 TEMPORARILY CLOSES AT CURTIS CREEK DRAWBRIDGE AFTER MORNING RUSH FOR EMERGENCY ROADWORK

Traffic detoured via Exit 1 to Pennington Avenue

WHAT: The Inner Loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge in Baltimore will be closed temporarily to traffic.

The detour route will direct motorists to Exit 1 (Quarantine Road), to Pennington Avenue, to Ordnance Road, to northbound MD 10, to Inner Loop I-695.

Drivers are encouraged to use I-895 or I-95 as alternate routes.

WHEN: The Inner Loop will close TODAY, Jan. 19, after morning rush-hour traffic clears and is anticipated to reopen by 6 a.m. TOMORROW, Jan. 20, weather and worker progress permitting.

WHY: Workers will be making steel repairs to a bridge-deck joint.
