HOLABIRD AVENUE BETWEEN NEWKIRK STREET & PONCA STREET TO BE CLOSED 24/7 FOR ONE MONTH
WHAT: Holabird Avenue will be closed 24/7 in both directions between Newkirk Street and Ponca Street. The eastbound detour route will direct motorists to Newkirk Street, to Boston Street, to Ponca Street. The westbound detour route will direct motorists to Ponca Street, to Boston Street, to Newkirk Street.
Local access along this portion of Holabird Avenue will be maintained for area businesses.
WHEN: Weather permitting, Monday, July 9, at 7 a.m. The closure will last for 30 days and end August 8, 2018.
WHY: Toll Dollars At Work: The closure is part of the Maryland Transportation Authority’s (MDTA) project to relocate Holabird Avenue utilities.
