MDTA TRANSPORTATION DESIGN ENGINEER HONORED WITH WTS BALTIMORE CHAPTER PRESIDENT'S AWARD
BALTIMORE, MD – On Jan. 16, Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Transportation Design Engineer and Bowie, MD resident Joyce Rebar was honored by the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) Baltimore Chapter with its 2017 President's Award.
The President's Award was given to Ms. Rebar for planning the WTS Baltimore Chapter's 35th Anniversary Gala and serving on the sponsorship sub-committee and the program/entertainment sub-committee. She secured the entertainment and emcee for the gala and served as liaison to both throughout event planning.
In December 2017, Joyce also marked her 10-year anniversary with the MDTA's Environmental Engineering Unit.
Financed solely by toll revenue, the MDTA is the State agency that finances, owns, operates and maintains the State's eight toll facilities. WTS, founded in 1977, is an international organization dedicated to building the future of transportation through the global advancement of women.
