MDTA DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENT ELECTED PRESIDENT OF MARYLAND PUBLIC PURCHASING ASSOCIATION INC.
BALTIMORE, MD – On Jan. 6, Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Director of Procurement Donna DiCerbo CPPO, CPPB, of Pasadena MD, was elected president of the Maryland Public Purchasing Association, Inc. (MPPA) for the 2018 term. Previously, Ms. DiCerbo served as the Association's vice president (2017), director (2015-2017) and as secretary (2008, 2009, 2017).
“Donna has been a proven leader in the procurement industry and at the MDTA throughout her career,” said MDTA Deputy Executive Director Deb Sharpless. “At the swearing-in ceremony, Donna's peers and MPAA representatives repeatedly recognized and complimented her talents during my interactions with them. It was wonderful to hear so many people commend her for her efforts.”
Ms. DiCerbo has worked for the State of Maryland for the past 37 years and joined the MDTA in 2012 as a procurement administrator. That same year, Ms. DiCerbo was promoted to her current position as director of procurement for the MDTA.
Financed solely by toll revenue, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is the State agency that finances, owns, operates and maintains the State's eight toll facilities. The MPPA is a professional organization comprised of over 300 procurement professionals throughout the State.
