Update to Face Covering Protocols at E-ZPass® Maryland Customer Service Centers and at Maryland I-95 Travel Plazas

Submitted by Tamory Winfield on

In accordance with Governor Larry Hogan’s announcement on Friday, May 14, face coverings are no longer required in E-ZPass Maryland Customer Service Centers or in the Maryland House and Chesapeake House travel plazas on I-95. While face coverings are no longer required within state owned or leased buildings for employees or visitors, they are still recommended for those who are unvaccinated against COVID-19. In addition, all visitors may continue to wear a face covering if they desire.

Customer Service Centers located at MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) branches are open by appointment only. All customers must schedule an appointment to visit an E-ZPass Customer Service Center in these MDOT MVA locations by calling 410-537-8400. Representatives are available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule appointments.

All Customer Service Centers remain open for in-person transactions Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. without needing an appointment. Temporary extended hours are available on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Visitors will still be asked health screening questions prior to entering any Customer Service Center.

The #DriveEzMD Customer Service Call Center (1-888-321-6824) is open for customer assistance on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Monday-Friday hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, there is also a live chat feature available at www.DriveEzMD.com.
