WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURE OF NORTHBOUND I-895 IN BALTIMORE CITY
WHAT: Weather permitting, the right lane of northbound I-895 from beyond the toll plaza, through the tunnel and including Exit 10 (Holabird Avenue) will be closed for road repairs. The Exit 10 detour will direct motorists to Boston/ODonnell Street (Exit 11A), to Interstate Avenue, to Ponca Street, to Holabird Avenue.

During tunnel closures at the (I-895) Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, drivers may experience 15-20 minute delays while two-way operations (during which one lane of southbound and northbound traffic is directed into the tunnel that remains open) are implemented. The Eastbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 9:00pm on the evenings of Feb. 23 - 24, 2015 for maintenance operations. Re-opening is scheduled to take place at 4:00am on the following morning.
The Eastbound Tunnel is scheduled to be closed at 9 p.m. on the evenings of Feb. 17, 18 and 19 for annual tunnel inspection, fan testing, Portal Ramp inspection and pothole repairs. Reopening is scheduled to take place at 4 a.m. the following mornings.
This is a tentative schedule that is subject to change at any time due to weather, traffic conditions, emergency incidents, or priority closures.
