Lane Closures and Traffic Patterns

Scheduled for the week of November 2 – 8, 2025

All work will be performed weather permitting. The MDTA urges motorists to drive with caution and obey all traffic-control devices and lane-control signals. Headlights are required at all times on the bridge. Lane closures are subject to change and closure times are dependent on traffic volumes and other work variables. 

TOLL DOLLARS AT WORK 

The eastbound span may be closed Sunday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Monday through Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning for preservation/maintenance work. The nighttime closures for the eastbound bridge deck replacement project. Learn more here. Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span during the full eastbound span closures.

One lane of the eastbound span may be closed Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for preservation/maintenance work. Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.

Tolling Reminder:  All-electronic tolling is statewide in Maryland. Standard Video Toll rates apply for any trips not paid with a valid E-ZPass or Pay-By-Plate account at toll facilities. Enroll in E-ZPass or Pay-By-Plate at DriveEzMD.com.
