WORK TO RESULT IN TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF I-95 RAMPS IN BALTIMORE CITY
HAZMAT Vehicles Must Use Exit 57 Before Fort McHenry Tunnel
WHAT: The ramp from southbound I-95 to Keith Avenue (Exit 56) will be closed overnight. The detour will direct motorists to O'Donnell Street (Exit 57), to Interstate Avenue, to Boston Street, to Clinton Street, to Keith Avenue.
Note: HAZMAT vehicles last exit before the Fort McHenryTunnel will be Exit 57 (O'Donnell Street).
The northbound I-95 ramp to Dundalk Avenue (Exit 58) will be closed overnight. The detour will direct motorists from northbound I-95 to Eastern Avenue (Exit 59), to Kane Street, to Dundalk Avenue.
WHEN: Weather permitting, the southbound I-95 to Keith Avenue ramp closure will occur Monday, Jan. 23, through Thursday Jan. 26, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
Weather permitting, the northbound I-95 ramp to Dundalk Avenue ramp closure will occur Sunday, Jan. 29, through Monday, Jan. 30, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
WHY: Toll Dollars At Work. Crews will close the ramps to pour foundations as part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) $13.7 million project to remove and replace weathering steel high-mast light poles along I-95 in Baltimore.
