OVERNIGHT LANE CLOSURES CONTINUE

ON I-895 AT K-TRUSS BRIDGE

Use I-95 As Alternate Route

 

WHAT: One lane on northbound or southbound I-895 at the K-Truss Bridge, south of the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel toll plaza, will be closed temporarily to traffic.  Motorists should use I-95/Fort McHenry Tunnel as an alternate route.

WHEN: Weather permitting, lane closures will occur as follows:

  • Monday to Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning;
  • Friday from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning;
  • Saturday from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning;
  • Sunday from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. the following morning.

On Friday and Saturday nights with Orioles' games, southbound I-895 lane closures will begin at 10 p.m. and northbound lane closures will begin at midnight.  No lane closures will be in effect during Labor Day weekend.  Lane closures are anticipated to end this fall.

WHY: Toll Dollars At Work: The closures are part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's (MDTA) one-year, $6.1 million project to repair the K-Truss Bridge approach spans.
