BALTIMORE, MD - On Wednesday, Feb. 21, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Police arrested a Baltimore man after a probable cause search led officers to find approximately 70 capsules of suspected heroin and a loaded handgun.

An MDTA Police officer stopped the driver, 25-year-old Kyle Andre Robinson, and passenger, 28-year-old Jason Deamonta Aydlett, both from Baltimore, on O'Donnell Street and Interstate 95 for equipment violation, crossing a double yellow lane line and making an illegal U-turn. Mr. Robinson was operating a 2005 Honda Odyssey. During a subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle, officers located the heroin and the handgun.

The MDTA Police charged both Mr. Robinson and Mr. Aydlett with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, knowingly transporting a firearm in a vehicle while traveling on a public road, possessing a firearm on person, unlawfully possessing a stolen firearm, and transportation of a firearm while taking part in drug trafficking.

After processing, officers transported Mr. Robinson and Mr. Aydlett to the Central Booking Intake Facility in Baltimore City. Mr. Robinson and Mr. Aydlett are both being held without bail.
