Lane Closures and Traffic Patterns

Scheduled for the week of November 9 – 15, 2025

All work will be performed weather permitting. The MDTA urges motorists to drive with caution and obey all traffic-control devices and lane-control signals. Headlights are required at all times on the bridge. Lane closures are subject to change and closure times are dependent on traffic volumes and other work variables.

Note: The eastbound span will be closed to traffic Sunday, November 9, from approximately 12:01 a.m. to 2 p.m., for the Bay Bridge Run. Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span. The center lane may open to traffic intermittently to help reduce westbound delays. Learn more here.

The eastbound span may be closed Monday and Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Friday from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning for preservation/maintenance work. One lane of the eastbound span may be closed Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for preservation/maintenance work. Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.
