The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is accepting applications for Facility Maintenance Technicians. Employees in this classification perform maintenance and construction work on MDTA facilities such as bridges, buildings, highways and tunnels.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
- Mowing & trimming
- Debris removal
- Lane closures
- Operating hand & power tools
- Operating heavy equipment
- Routine equipment maintenance
- Snow removal
Facility Maintenance Technicians are considered essential employees and are subject to call-in 24 hours a day, as may be required in order to maintain continuous and safe operation of a facility.

On-the-Job Training:

Employees are required to obtain their CDL during the probationary period.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of the 8th grade
- Valid Class “C” Driver’s License
