Intercounty Connector (ICC)/MD 200 - Multimodal Connections
The ICC was designed as a multimodal facility, improving mobility and connectivity whether you drive the ICC for your commute, to get to BWI Marshall Airport faster, to access WMATA Metro service or MARC or use the Maryland Transit Administration's (MTA) new Commuter Bus Service or local transit.
For travelers from Montgomery County and the National Capital region, the ICC enhances BWI Marshall Airport's reputation as a convenient, efficient gateway. The highway greatly improves access to BWI Marshall for passengers and freight by directly connecting the Airport with Montgomery County and the I-270 High Technology Corridor. Passenger traffic has grown consistently at BWI Marshall in recent years, setting numerous records.
MTA ICC COMMUTER BUS SERVICE:
As a multimodal facility, the ICC's construction incorporates more than 11 miles of bike trails and three miles of reconstructed bicycle and pedestrian trails. Along with these trails, extensive landscaping, retaining walls and sound barriers help the ICC fit into the fabric of the adjacent communities.
