Lane Closures and Traffic Patterns

Scheduled for the week of December 21, 2025 – January 3, 2026

All work will be performed weather permitting. The MDTA urges motorists to drive with caution and obey all traffic-control devices and lane-control signals. Headlights are required at all times on the bridge. Lane closures are subject to change and closure times are dependent on traffic volumes and other work variables

TOLL DOLLARS AT WORK 

The westbound span may be closed Sunday, December 21, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning and Monday, December 22, and Tuesday, December 23, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning for preservation/maintenance work. Two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span during the full westbound span closures.

One lane of the eastbound span may be closed Monday, December 22, and Tuesday, December 23, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for preservation/maintenance work. Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.

There are no scheduled lane closures between December 24 – 26 and December 31 – January 1.

The westbound span may be closed Saturday, December 27, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning, Sunday, December 28, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30, from 

8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Friday, January 2, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. the following morning and Saturday, January 3, from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning for preservation/maintenance work. Two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span during the full westbound span closures.

One lane of the eastbound span may be closed Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday, January 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for preservation/maintenance work. Two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.
