1-95 Ramp Rehab

Deck Rehabilitation and Joint Modifications of Bridges on I-95 Ramps South of Fort McHenry Tunnel

The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is performing deck rehabilitation and joint modifications of bridges on the I-95 ramps south of the Fort McHenry Tunnel. The deck rehabilitation and joint modification to be performed under this contract in Baltimore city include structures on the following ramps:

  • E. McComas on-ramp to Southbound I-95
  • Southbound I-95 off-ramp to Southbound MD 295 (Exit 52)
  • Northbound MD 295 on-ramp to Northbound I-95
  • Southbound I-395 leaving the city onto Southbound I-95

Weekday and weekend ramp closures will be necessary to complete the work on the ramps, and detours will be provided for each ramp closure. To see details for each ramp closure and detour, click on a ramp location below.


 

Work to Result in Temporary Closures of Ramp from E. McComas Street to Southbound I-95 in Baltimore City

Weather permitting, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will temporarily close the ramp from East McComas Street (westbound) to southbound I-95 from Sunday, September 26 to Wednesday morning, September 29. The closure will be in effect from 10 PM each night to 5 AM the following morning. The detour will direct vehicles to continue on E McComas Street, turning right on Hanover Street and accessing Southbound I-95 from the Hanover Street on-ramp.

Toll Dollars At Work: This closure is part of the MDTA’s deck rehabilitation and joint modifications project on eight bridges located on I-95 in Baltimore City.
